I got this extra battery for my D90 and it works great. Comes in very handy for trips and excursions. The charge lasts for quite a while with regular usage; definitely a great extra to have!

Broke after falling out of my hands while trying to upload photos into my parents prehistoric desktop tower–fell about 6 inches, landed on its side–never opened again. It was a great camera while it lasted (2 weeks) but Canon apparently constructed it out of hollow bird skeletons. (My little Nikon has survived waaaay worse mishaps–it just takes dull photos and takes about 5 seconds from the time you press the button to the time the shutter opens.) It was nice and fast and took good photos–but getting it repaired has proven a daunting task. I’m about to start taking my co-workers advice and bang it against a table to loosen the lens.

I just received my gold/bronze SD880 and I am delighted with it! The wide lens format was a primary reason I considered this camera. It’s exactly what I felt was missing from other compact digital cameras and a major reason I chose this camera. Style-wise, the gold/bronze exterior is understated and very attractive, I think even more so that the high-contrast silver-black combo. The 880is feels sturdy, a good weight-light but not too light, easy to hold, easy to shoot using one hand.

Customer Review: Not at all impressed
We purchased this camera in an attempt to locate an upgrade to our old Kodak EasyShare DX7590 5mpx. What a disappointment. This camera, though 12.1mpx, does not deliver quality photos nor does it stabilize images. You ‘think’ the photos are crisp when viewed on the live viewer, however once uploaded, you see a slightly different reality. The photos are blurry, have shadows, rain and glares galore. The video isn’t as good either. When uploaded and viewed on your TV or computer, the frames per second looks choppy. Unfortunately we are back to the drawing board now looking into purchasing a Canon, with $300 down the drain. I still can’t understand how it has gotten so much positive reviews. Perhaps I received a defective model, or all these reviewers have either never had a digital camera in their life or have yet to upload the photos they’ve taken to their computer. Please don’t waste your money here.
